Professional Biography

Kevin den Dulk joined the GVSU political science department in 2001 after receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He teaches a variety of American politics courses in the political science department, as well as a course on "Democracy and Political Judgment" in GVSU's Honors College. His research focuses on both judicial politics and the role of religion in public life.  He’s co-authored two books (shameless promotion alert!) -- Religion and Politics in America (Westview, 2004) and Pews, Prayers, and Participation (Georgetown, forthcoming) -- as well as numerous journal articles, book chapters, and reviews.
