More About GEORG JORI YAGER:who emigrated to the U.S.A> in 1800 changed their name to "Yager." It was registered on April 19, 1927, Davos. For generations they repeatedly used the same Christian names in the family. The Jager/Jeger family seems to have been quite wealthy and prolific. Quite a few members of the family emigrated to the U.S.A, there are remarks of North Dakota. One of the first who went to the U.S.A. seems to have been Paulus Jager, born on 14.2.1821 at Frauenkirch/Davos. He died in the United States, date of death is unknown. The Jager/Jeger family comes from the two communities: Davos and Peist, the Grisons, Switzerland.
