Quadrilateral Tessellation with Modifications

What can you tell about the motions that move the very green quadrilateral to its adjacent tiles? (Adjacent means the quadrilaterals that share an edge with it.)

Make alterations to the quadrilateral by dragging the blue points. When you move one point, what else changes and why? Does a modified tile make it easier or harder to identify the motions?

What makes a tessellation interesting to you?
