Kaleidoscope by Angle

This kaleidoscope works by setting the mirrors to make a certain angle. The mirrors (reflecting lines) of the kaleidoscope are set on the edges of one piece and then the reflections make the other pieces.

Not all angles make a true kaleidoscope looking image. Which angles make a kaleidoscope? Why those angles?
