My Basement

This is a scale sketch of our basement. We're taking out the old counter, putting in new shelves and a smaller counter/workspace and trying to rearrange things.

In the picture is the furniture we're keeping. There are a couple temporary shelves and a toy chest were putting elsewhere.

The problem: Determine a good arrangement for the new basement and what would be a good length for the new shelves. Justify your choices.
