Compund Area

This sketch is a bit of an experiment. I tried to make shapes that to find the area, you need to think about breaking up the area into simpler shapes, or taking pieces away from simpler shapes. The ruler can be moved and adjusted to find any length in the picture.

The check boxes allow you to show only one area at a time. You can show the angle measures for any of the shapes if you think they are important.

The shape controls let you change the size of the shapes so you can try again if you want practice.
