Personal Background
Jenny is currently a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in biology. She graduated from GVSU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in English and certification in Secondary Education. She has worked in the AEP since the spring of 2008 and is interested in the impacts of climate change in arctic plant distribution and the promotion of science literacy in general.

Role in the AEP
During the 2008 & 2010 field seasons Jenny's primary responsibilities included conducting measures and maintainance at sites in Barrow and Atqasuk. She also assisted Jeremy May in point framing and biomass assessment and during the 2010 field season conducted point framing in Barrow and Atqasuk. In the 2011 field season Jenny led the team and collected cover estimation data for sites in Barrow and Atqasuk.

Career Aspirations
Jenny plans to use her experiences in the AEP in pursuit of a career in research.
