Jenny is currently a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in biology. She graduated from GVSU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in English and certification in secondary education. She has worked in the AEP since the spring of 2008 and is interested in the impacts of climate change in arctic plant distribution and the promotion of science literacy in general.
In the summer of 2008 Jenny's primary responsibilities included conducting measures and maintainance at the Atqasuk Wet site. She also assisted Jeremy May in point framing and biomass assessment. Jenny is interested in biogeography and has presented findings of her independent project on the ranges of Arctic plants at GVSU's Student Scholarship Day 2009.
Jenny plans to use her experiences in the AEP in pursuit of a career in academia.
