The Scholistic Indicator Score (SIS) is a weighted score used by Michigan State University for assessing an application.

The SIS can be calculated by going to the following link: SIS Calculator.

Note: the SIS Calculator link is no longer viable. It appears they will be coming up with a new SIS algorithm, due out at the end of June 2012.

More info on the SIS is available here.

For comparison, the SIS score for a recent class (2010) was 806-984 and the average was 884. Applications with SIS scores lower than 806 were rejected.
