The slider controls at the top of the sketch control dilations for the different size photographs shown pictured. Play with these for a minute to get a feel for how they work.

  1. Are any of the common photo sizes similar? Provide complete reasoning.
  2. If there are similar sizes, determine the scale. If there are not, what are the closest to being similar?
  3. Determine a rule that could be used to determine if any two rectangles are similar or not using just their width and length.
