ADD THE PRINTED MUSIC

  1. 1) Do ‘singering’ first: Have them sing the note names while fingering the correct notes on their instrument

  2. 2)Work on executive skills such as breathing, holding position, embouchure, bowing, etc. on the piece that they already can play.  Then, if you ask them to change one of these skills, they don’t have to worry about how the music sounds.
