Grant, et. al. (p45) recognizes seven steps within the 2nd phase (Quantitative-Model Specification). They are:
1. Select the general quantitative structure for the model
2. Choose the basic time unit for the simulations
3. Identify the functional forms of the model equations
4. Estimate the parameters of the model equations
5. Code the model equations for the computer
6. Execute the baseline simulation
7. Present the model equations
