CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a numerical method to solve Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer problems. The general steps of the simulation are: CAD model, mesh generation, boundary conditions, solver setting, solution, and post processing.
The School of Engineering has licenses for a commercial CFD package. If you are an engineering student and interested in learning CFD, contact me or stop by my office.
A CFD course is offered in Winter semesters (EGR 465/565)
