Project III (Brochure)

Create a brochure for a non-profit group around campus or in the community. Demonstrate your knowledge of the design principles: contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity. Check to make sure that it comforms to the guidelines in the handout that I give you in class on Oct. 3.

Prepare you brochure as a web page, but provide for me as well (perhaps at the very bottom of the page as a very small and inconspicuous link) a different web page on which you have modeled your own. This doesn't mean you have to or should copy the design completely, or that you should steal all the graphics or something, it simply means that you should show me a web page or two that has inspired your own design.

I'd like to see careful attention to the above basic design principles. And I'd like to see evidence in your text and design that you have read and understood the material at the "Good Documents" web site as well as the materials that I give you on Oct. 3 in class.

Your page should appear professional and appropriate for the intended purpose and audience.

I also want to see your own use of text and graphics. You may use some graphic elements you find around the web, but I'd like you to write your own text and design some of your own graphics as well, even if it is simply graphic-text. Again, please include text as part of your design. Of course your text might very well include hyperlinks for readers.

This Project III should be added to your course page for me to view.
